Scheduled maintenance - server migration All the latest from Hosting UK


On 11th May 2019 at 18:00 BST current customers of United Hosting or those moved to Hosting UK who have not to date been moved to new servers will be affected by the following maintenance. This maintenance was first communicated via email on 17th/18th April and again on 7th May 2019.

To date the above services have been delivered from a third party owned data centre. In order to offer the highest levels of service and to ensure that we are able to further improve your service and delivered enhanced services int eh future we are moving the servers your services are running on to one of the wholly owned state of the art data centres operated by our parent company Iomart plc.

We understand that customers may be concerned about these works and would like to assure those customers affected that these works have been months in planning and every care is being taken.

During the migration window you will experience an interruption to service while servers are moved. When the works are complete we will send an all clear notification to affected customers.

Update 17:01 BST:
Crews are on site and beginning preparations.

Update 18:00 BST
Servers are now being shutdown

Update 01:10 BST
Servers have arrived at the destination datacentre and are being racked up.

Update 03:52 BST
The first rack of servers are being powered on and are connected successfully.

Update 05:52 BST
Servers are still being connected to power and brought online.

Update 08:57 BST
The vast majority of servers are now powered - work continues

Update 12:27 BST
Works overran slightly however the vast majority of services have been restored for some time with only a small number competing in the last hour. Engineers are completing post migration works.
