I can recieve but not send?

Our servers will require authentication to send an email. If you are having issues sending then you will check your outgoing server settings.

For Outlook

For Outlook 2010 +
Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings

For Outlook 2007 and below
Go to Tools > Account Settings.

You should now have a window pop up showing your email accounts. Double click on your email account to bring up the settings.  Click the 'More Settings' button (bottom right).

Under 'Outgoing Server' Tab, Tick 'My Outgoing Server requires authentication' and then tick 'use same settings as Incoming Server'.

If you need to change your outgoing settings on IOS
1. Click on settings on your iPhone/iPad.
2. Scroll down to MAIL > CONTACTS > CALENDARS, and click on that
3. Then click on the account you need to update the SMTP settings for.  As it's already established, you just choose it from the list of email accounts you have set up on your iPhone or iPad
4. You will get to the EMAIL INFORMATION page for that account.  Scroll down to the OUTGOING SERVER
5. CLICK on the OUTGOING SERVER
6. Now you will see a list of OUTGOING SERVERS that have been configured on your iPhone or iPad.  The one that is currently set to be used with this particular email account is at the top and highlighted: Primary Server. So click on that one
7. Now you will see the settings for that PRIMARY OUTGOING SERVER:
Make sure that:
+ Your email address is set in the Username field.
+ Your password is set in the Password field.
8. Click "Done"

For changing your outgoing settings on Android
1. Go to Settings > Accounts.
2. Click on the account type of your email account (this will either be IMAP or POP)
3. You should then have an option for 'Account Settings' which will show your IMAP/POP Account.
4. Scroll down to the bottom for outgoing settings.
5. Make sure that:
+ Your email address is set in the Username field.
+ Your password is set in the Password field.
6. Click 'Done' to save your changes.

If you are getting SSL warnings, then the hostname can be set to use the address of the server (e.g. mail5.hostinguk.net) which will have a valid SSL assigned to it. If you are not sure which server you should be using, please contact support.
