Removing (Deleting) a User in SmarterMail / Webmail

Deleting a user permanently removes their mailbox unless you back it up first.

Log in to SmarterMail

Go to Settings
-
Select Domains
-
Choose the domain
-
Click Users
-
Select the user you want to remove
-
Click Delete
-
Confirm the deletion
Recommended Before Deleting a User
To avoid data loss, consider one of these options first:
Option 1: Backup the Mailbox

Use Mailbox Export (if enabled)

Or back up the user’s mailbox folder at the file system level
Option 2: Forward Email Instead

Set up mail forwarding

Or convert the address to an alias on another user
